[Opinions] Lily or Chloe? (more)
These are currently the only names in the top 30 I would consider as first names. Do you prefer Lily or Chloe and why? They are both popular so I am interested which you prefer. :)

I love both, but slightly prefer Lily.

Both names have their virtues, but Chloe is in my Top 10, so that's the one I choose. I love the look as much as the sound, and all the ones I've met in real life have been down-to-earth (whereas I've met some crazy gals named Lily).

LilyIt looks and sounds prettier.

Lily over Chloe for me. Lily honors my Grandmother Lily (Lilian in full) So that works for me. I've never met a Chloe who was nice.

I enjoy the extreme longevity of Chloe! And, as goddesses go, Demeter was remarkably well behaved, so an epithet of hers is no bad thing. Also, its rise in literary usage in the 17th century is rather fun. Lily, on the other hand ... dreary and damp and drooping. Chloe, all the way!

LilyLily is classic, cute and endearing. I also just like the sound of it more

Kind of a toss-up, but I'll say Chloe because it seems green and strong, and Lily seems a little pale and weaker.

I've not seen many Lilies, so I'll choose this. But not a fan of popular names.
Please vote on my lists, thanks!

I much prefer Lily because it has some lovely formal names. My favorite is Lilia.

If neither were popular, I'd definitely use Lily over Chloe. I don't like Chloe at all. Lily is undeniably pretty, while, to me, Chloe feels plastic. It's like a hot pink barbie shoe of a name.

I don't like either, but Lily if I had to pick, although it's crazy popular where I live. I've just never met a nice Chloe.

Chloe. I don't dislike it, have a niece-by -marriage so named.
I've had bad luck with Lillians,so my dislike of the name has rubbed off on Lily. Certainly not a bad name though.

I actually like both names, but prefer Lily to Chloe. I just prefer Lily and find it more timeless.
