[Opinions] Re: Shane, Shayna, Sheena

I don't like Shane on either gender, it makes me think of the word shame. It doesn't sound super masculine so it could work on a girl, I just dislike it in general. I also don't care for Shayna. Just like Sean (Shawn) and Shawna the names Shane and Shayna make me think of the 70s. They are really dated (formerly super trendy) 70s names, in my opinion. I guess Sean could be seen as a bit more of a classic (not Shawn and Shaun) but it still feels dated.
Sheena is also kind of odd. I know a girl with this as her middle name, her first name is 80s favorite Jessica. She was born in the mid 80s. I always thought it was very unusual and only discovered on this site that it made the top 100 in the 80s because of a celebrity.
I also don't care for Shanie. The only name I somewhat like for a girl that comes close to all of these names is Shea which is cute.
In general Sh-beginnings as well as many names starting with J really seem a bit dated to me. It seems that these letters/letter combinations were really common in the 70s and 80s: Sean, Shannon, Shawna, Jessica, Jennifer, Jason, Justin etc. The only J name still in the top 100 is Julia and that might fall out soon.
