What do think about the name Viana (Vee-ah-naa)? How does it sound to you? In Persian it means wisdom and in English it means alive.

I'd be cautious about the sources you're getting your name meanings from. I could be wrong (it happens), but they sound off to me.
I'd have pronounced it to rhyme with Diana if you hadn't said something. I think you might be in for a lot of that if you use it. It does have a nice sound, though.
Using Viviana with Viana as a nn would be better, imo. Then the meaning and pronunciation make sense.

I think wisdom ia a wonderful meaning. I think you might encounter some pronunciation challenges if used irl, but it is a very pretty name.

In what form of English does it mean anything? And where has it been used? I'm afraid I'm sceptical, but open to being proved wrong.

I thought the same, but calling Viviana an English name or viana (lower-case v, presumably) an English word is quite a stretch!

Seeing as, well, "alive" means alive in English, I rather doubt your source.
