Romola has long been one of my favorite names, but it never performs well in my polls. Does anyone else appreciate its antique charm and steely elegance? For the record, I pronounce the first syllable like "Rome" (the city).

I think the trouble is that it sounds like a product, like Motorola or Victrola or Shinola or granola or Mazola.
And it might be antique, but it's not a classic because it hasn't been used eenough to be familiar to anybody.

I love almost all of the names on your list except this one, I'm afraid. It sounds like somebody talking with their mouth full.

I'm one of the few that love your combo polls! (I think) But anyway, I quite like Romola. It's even fun to type out... Romola.

Romola is surely a particular name but it is nearly extinct in Italy.
Infact there aren't babies with this name since 1999 (neither in 2015).
Anyway I prefer it with particular names of your list...
