[Opinions] Romola
Romola has long been one of my favorite names, but it never performs well in my polls. Does anyone else appreciate its antique charm and steely elegance? For the record, I pronounce the first syllable like "Rome" (the city). Here are some combos that have been gestating:Romola Agnes
Romola Alice
Romola Beatrice
Romola Catherine
Romola Cecile
Romola Constance
Romola Daphne
Romola Edith
Romola Enid
Romola Eve
Romola Frances
Romola Gertrude

Romola Iris
Romola Iseult
Romola Jane
Romola Judith
Romola Margaret
Romola Marguerite
Romola Mary
Romola Mathilde
Romola Nadine
Romola Pearl
Romola Ruth
Romola Sibyl
Romola Sigrid
Romola Sylvie
Romola Tamsin
Romola Tanith
Romola Therese
Romola Vashti
Romola Violet
Romola Winifred
Romola Xanthe

I like it a bit better after realizing where to place the emphasis (have always said rah-MOH-la), but it still feels ungainly imo. These combos are right on the money.Romola Agnes
Romola Edith
Romola Ingrid
Romola Pearl
Romola Sylvie

I think the trouble is that it sounds like a product, like Motorola or Victrola or Shinola or granola or Mazola.
And it might be antique, but it's not a classic because it hasn't been used eenough to be familiar to anybody.

I love almost all of the names on your list except this one, I'm afraid. It sounds like somebody talking with their mouth full.
