I think it's very pretty sounding and as a kid, it was one of my favorite girl's names. Now I'm an atheist so I would never use it and I associate it too much with "blind faith"- I don't think faith in itself is a negative thing and I do think you can have faith in things that are not religious. For example, I think it's a type of faith that I believe that the vast majority of people are basically good even though they may do bad things.

Anyway, I think it is way too associated with very right-wing evangelical Christians and it is also to "in your face"-religious as a first name. As someone born into a religious family who became atheist, I'm glad that my first name is not Faith. I feel the same way about Christian for a boy too. I think it makes a nice middle name a lot of the time though.
