Billie can also be a short version of Belinda.
Most of the list are toe-curlingly awful. And the steady flow of -y and -ie endings is cheapskate sentimental.
Exceptions would be Polly (family nn for Mary which I'd use as a full name) and, as I say, Billie if short for Belinda, which I like but feel hesitant about for some reason.
Worst of the worst: Bizzy, Birdie, Dovie (!) and Lottie.
I knew a dog named Trixie once. That was OK.
Why anyone would use Tessie when Tessa exists, I can't fathom. Ditto Georgie when there's Gina. And Effie sounds like polite swearing. You Effie idiot! That sort of thing.
