[Opinions] Royce (boy)
Hi !!!WDYTO this name?I like Royce because is masculine with a strong sound but derives from a Medieval variant of Rose. Masculine floreal names are very fascinating!Any MN suggestion?Any sibset?ETA I found that it is a big jumper in the U.S. ranking! +69 makes it #461 !!
Why is it growing so fast?

It probably gained rank because of that guy Liv Tyler was married to. He was in some band I can't remember. It also has high-end cache because it brings Rolls Royce to mind.I like Royce.Royce Richard

This is my husband's very favorite name. I also like the floral connection, but it seems softer and more simple/sweet than strong to me. We do know a couple young-uns named Royce, and I can see the appeal. It has a vintage and a modern vibe to it. Royce is hard to pair. We considered Royce Ebenezer, but I would be more likely to just throw a family name in the middle irl. Here are a few offering:Royce Montgomery
Royce Jeremiah
Royce Carlisle
Royce Alexander
Royce Leandro
Royce Santiago
Royce Meriwether
Royce and Hanna seems sweet together.
My husband likes Royce and Violet together.
Royce and Leah or Royce and Annabelle also mesh well IMO.

I prefer Ross, I really don't like Royce much. I also dislike Rose, I prefer Rosemarie, Rosaleen, or Rosalie.

Honestly, I can only picture it on a boy. I've only ever seen it on boys. (Of course, I don't know any personally, but I've seen it online.)

It's interesting. It keeps coming and going from my (long) list, has never been in my Top 10. I don't associate it with "rose" or "red" at all. I associate it with "king". It has a royal vibe to me. Royce would make a great middle name!

I like Royce. Not do my child but I'd be pleased to meet someone else's kid with the name. I think it's rugged but still soft, which is a hard combo to find.

I went to high school with a guy with this name. While he was very nice, his name always seemed pretentious to me. It's like a slightly classier version of naming a kid Lexus or Mercedes.

I want to like it, and I suppose sort of do. It has a masculine, cowboyish feel to it, which can be nice. It's also a trendy kind of name, which I'm sure is why it's gaining in popularity.I know its origin, but there isn't anything floral in feel or image that it evokes.

It's my least favorite male name. It sounds so sleazy to me. It would be a great name for a criminal in a story, though.

Royce is a name of one of the houses Game of Thrones, so I could see how that could lead to an increase in popularity.
I like it though. It's masculine and I like the style.
