[Opinions] Jericho
Opinions? What is a good middle name for Jericho? Better for m or f? I met a young girl named that.

All I can think of is a song that we sang in elementary school, "Joshua fought the battle of Jericho, Jericho, Jericho, Joshua fought the battle of Jericho, and the walls came tumbling do--o--o--o--wn".I don't like it because of the "Jer" sound, which is why I don't like Gerald or Jerry, either. And I'm really surprised it's a girl, it seems very masculine to me.

Hah, we sang that song in school too. And Will sang it with his elementary students last year.

Jericho is a cool name, definitely not one you see / hear everyday. I like it better than Jeremy. However, I cannot fathom it on a girl (don't even like Jeri for a girl, to be honest - that "Jair" sound is, imo, totally masculine). As for combos, how about...Jericho Bennett
Jericho Daniel
Jericho Daveth / Jericho David
Jericho Dean
Jericho Donovan
Jericho Farran
Jericho Finn
Jericho Leland
Jericho Lionel
Jericho Lyle
Jericho Malcolm
Jericho Miles / Jericho Niles
Jericho Morgan
Jericho Noah / Jericho Noam
Jericho Noel
Jericho Pascal
Jericho Perran / Jericho Piran
Jericho Philip
Jericho Phoenix (if you want to go whole-hog)
Jericho Prentice / Jericho Prentis / Jericho Prentiss

I like it and slightly prefer it for a boy, because I've only seen it used as a masculine name...there's a poet named Jericho Brown; it makes me think of him.IMO, for a boy it seems more religious (not OTT; just kind of like a masculine version of Bethany). When I think of it used for a girl, I get more of a sci-fi vibe.
I think it'd go well with lots of styles of MNs. Jericho Azalea and Jericho Keturah are the 1st couple that came to mind for a girl.

It's alright; feels masculine to me. I'd categorize it as a place name, biblical yes, but not necessarily religious. Lots of nickname possibilities to play with: J, Jay, Jerry, Joe, Arrow/Ero, Echo, Ric, Rico, Rio?For a middle, I'm thinking something no-nonsense, maybe...Jericho Abram
Jericho Brendan
Jericho Douglas
Jericho Edmund
Jericho Nathan
Jericho Stephen
Jericho Vincent
Jericho Willem
