Felix and Alis had been betrothed since Alis was born. They grew up visiting each other at least once a year, and became friends quite easily. Their parents were quite concerned with their sibling-like relationship growing up, but they took a sharp turn toward romance about three years before they were to marry, much to their parents' delight.
