I like it for a girl. I'm not sure if I like it or not for a boy.

Haven is a lot nicer on a boy. It seems much stronger and a more solid name.On a girl it's not nice it either sounds a bit like a strippers name or a bit evangelical

I have only met one Haven in person, and it was a dude. I'm neutral on it. I think it works just fine for both sexes.

It's ok. I prefer it for a boy.

Not a fanI dislike the name even for a girl and couldn't even begin to imagine it on a boy. I just never cared for it.

I really like it for a boy! Hate for girls, it sounds masculine to me.

i also love it as a boy's name, but am not a fan of it on a girl. i generally prefer gentler names for boys.also not to get too #deep into it but...it carries a better message for a boy than a girl. women are expected to be safe havens for men to vent their frustrations at, to create a safe haven by being a homemaker, by deescalating situations- generally taught to make everyone else comfortable and happy, at the cost of their own comfort and happiness. men on the flip side aren't usually taught to consider other's feelings enough. so it gives a message to a boy to be gentle and create/be a safe haven for others to trust. again not to analyze everything, just while on the topic of the name on a girl vs a boy.

Love it; it's been in one of my combos for years.
ETA: Some of DH's friends had a daughter named Haven Harper H. and they call her Havey and Havey's totally awful imo. I don't think anyone's going to call a boy Havey (though I could be wrong).

I like it a lot. To me it looks and sounds like a unisex name.

I actually really like it but I worry that it would be misheard as Hayden everytime he introduced himself and that he would get lost in the sea of -en names in his class.

It feels sort of unisex, so I guess it could work on a boy.

It's weird to me on a boy. It sounds very feminine to me.

It's my name. Before 2000 I'd only met boys wth the name, post 2000 girls.

I like it for a girl and I've never really thought about it for a boy, but I'm liking it.

I don't see why it wouldn't work. It's a gender neutral word and name.
