[Facts] Is this name Polish ...
Hi:My name is Waleska and I am a Puerto Rican. When I moved to the USA 3 years ago people started asking about my name. I did a little bit of research on line and found out that it is Polish. I am not Polish nor do I have Polish family. My dad wanted to give me a different name and for some reason he liked this one. Can anyone tell me if it is in fact Polish and if it is, does it have a meaning?Thank you,
Waleska

It's a feminine form of a Polish surname and the proper spelling is Walewska.Pron: va-lehv-skahI don't know what it means but apparently there was a Countess Walewska...

There is a dish called Sole [the fish] Walewska. At least that's what it's called in Sweden.Happiness can be found even in the darkest of times if only one remembers to turn on the lights
