Help[Opinions] Alice and Elise
Which do you prefer? Do these names give the same vibe at all to you? They kind of do to me just because Elise in English sounds so much like Alice in French.
What about Elisa? I like it pronounced "Eleesa", not so mch "Elaysa".

They feel like they have a different vibe to me. I used to hate Alice, mostly because people would call me Alice instead of Elise and that would drive me mad. I've changed my tune and now I have a perception of an Alice to be intelligent, quick-witted, good sense of humor, sunny disposition, and someone who kind of just goes along to the beat of their own drum. This has no doubt been shaped a lot by the 4 Alices that I have known who range in age from 7 to 85ish.
I don't know what the vibe of Elise is. I can't objectively assess that. But it feels different to me.
I dislike Elisa. I pronounce it the way you prefer but I think the -a on the end seems unnecessary.

I think about both of these names a lot. I think Alice would be an easier name to have (in the US at least), because I have a feeling Elise would get mixed up with other names more frequently. Alice seems a bit less “frilly” for some reason.”, but I like both names very much.
Elisa is nice but again I could see it getting mixed up with Elise, Alyssa, etc. in the US.

Elise definitely gets mixed up with a lot of other names in the US. (Source: I am named Elise in the US) It also gets misspelled constantly.
I get called Elsie, Alice, Alyssa, Elisha/Alisha, Alicia, Ellie, Lisa, Elisa etc with some frequency. I wouldn't be surprised if girls/women named Alice have a similar experience though. In my experience, people just glance at names on pages or hear your name and associate it with maybe a name that they hear frequently in their own life that's similar.

To me, Alice seems more like a complete, beautiful name. It’s quaint and dainty and a little quirky.
Elise seems more like a nickname for Elisabeth that eventually became a name in its own right, like Lisa. It’s pretty, but there are a lot of El- and Em- names floating around the top popularity lists. Al- names (Alice included) are there too, but they don’t seem as ubiquitous to me. Elise seems safe and a little boring.
