Pronounce it like Clementeen and the citrus goes away. In fact, spell it Clementene and your problems are over. I know one whose parents used the -ene spelling for that very reason, and it worked.

But Clementene is a misspelling, and that almost makes it worse in my opinion (it turns it kre8tyve). The -een pronunciation is the most common one, anyway, so I think most people would default to (or at least understand) that.
