[Opinions] Re: Celeb BA
Indeed it is, however, it's rather uncommon and while there may be a visual connection to Isabella, this child's name is spelled Sebella and I don't think the connection would be as strong. To top that, she'll be called Sebi which very few will associate with Isabella."Darkness cannot drive out darkness; only light can do that. Hate cannot drive out hate; only love can do that." -- Martin Luther King, Jr.

My point was that it’s not made up or necessarily “created.” I think Sebella is pretty dang close in sound to Isabella. No one would likely guess what “Sebi” is short for whether it was Sebella or Isabella, so I guess I don’t see what it matters which version of the name was used. They clearly didn’t want to name her Isabella, so why force it for a nickname that already unusual?I may be biased because I LOVE the nn Sibby but don’t like Sibyl enough to use, but would consider Cybele. Bottom line I wouldn’t use a name I didn’t like just because it’s the most logical choice
