[Opinions] Theia
I am really taken with Theia at the moment. I’ve never heard of anyone being named Theia in my life. I pronounce it THAY-uh (with unvocalized ‘th’ consonance). I also love astronomy names, and Theia has a very interesting history in relationship to Earth. The way it looks in the Greek alphabet is also irresistible! There are many ideal middle names for it, too.Do you like Theia (or Altheia)? Are there any other astronomy names you’d like to mention? I also like Leda, Aitne, Sedna, and many others.

I prefer Theia than Althea. Theia is a beautiful name and one that I’ve loved for a long time. Here’s a few more that I found online: Website I used: https://www.google.co.uk/amp/www.momjunction.com/articles/space-themed-baby-names_00396566/%3famp=1
Rhea - was the Greek Titan and the mother of Zeus. She represents motherhood and fertility. It’s also one of Saturn's moons. Gaia was the goddess of Earth and the primordial deities. She was considered the creator of the earth and the universe.Astraea was the Greek Goddess of justiceThalia was one of the nine muses. She was the muse of comedy and pastoral poetry. Thalia was also the name of one of the three Graces.Ophelia is the name of a tiny moon in Uranus.Titania is the name of the largest moon of Uranus. The name is inspired by the queen of fairies in Shakespeare’s A Midsummer Night’s Dream. You can shorten it to Tania as well. Phoebe was the name of the Goddess of the moon and the mother of Leto in Greek mythology.Elara, one of the moons of Jupiter. The moon was named after one of the lovers of Zeus in the Greek mythologyCordelia is the name of the inner moon of Uranus. The moon was named after Queen Cordelia, the youngest daughter of King Lear from Shakespeare’s play with the same name. The princess was noted for her undying devotion to her father and unwavering honesty. I have both Theia (how you say it) and Althaia/Althaea on my list. In general, I like ‘ay-uh’ sounds, and I think Theia and Altheia are beautiful and unusual, but not ridiculous. My only concern is that with the popularity of Thea where I live (which I’ve only recently started to like, due to a character) I’d imagine Theia would often be mispronounced. In terms of astronomy names I have many loves, but Lyra and Andromeda are probably my favourites, along with my favourite name being a moon (Pandora). I even have Lyra Andromeda as part of a combo.

I like it. I also like her childrens name, Helios, Selene, and Eos. Orion and Andromeda, along with Venus.

Wouldn’t it be surprising to meet a Helios? Very striking.

I love Theia, it's on my list. I like it pronounced thay-ah, not thee-ah or tay-ah. I don't like Altheia / Althea (she ended up killing her son) and I find the Al detracts from the simple beauty of Theia.I also like:
Alcyone (f)
Altair (m)
Antares (m)
Mars (m)
Orion (m)
Soraya (f)I like Stella too :)

I love mythology names including this one, but it does feel like it's lacking something for me. Maybe it's because I'm so used to calling "Theda" and "Theodora" out all the time. There's also something a little hubristic about literally naming your kid "goddess", but I wouldn't let that stop me if I loved the name.

I have always pronounced it as “thee-ah” but I still like it as “thay-ah”. More astronomy names I like are Venus, Orion, Lyra, Luna and Stella.
