It's really dated to me, a Deirdre would be over 60 at least. I think it sounds very drab, and it's almost comedic where I live.

Names with a similar style would be Bridget, Dervla, Catriona, and for boys, Domhnall and Gilroy.

Hm. I know a Deidre (DEER-dree) that is about 20. It's cute. I knew her when she was three and it suited her perfectly.
