I know a Mira and a Meera (Both Indian) and it sounds OK, if a little boring. Mia and Maya and Mira are all really common sounds right now.
If you live in a predominantly Spanish area then yes I would avoid it.

Thanks for responding. It's so hard knowing how popular Mia/Maya is since I'm not around children and the only Mias I knew were ones I met in college. I definitely wouldn't want a name for my (very hypothetical) child to be timestamped by sound.
