I really like Caroline. When I was younger I used to think it was quite dated, my mum knew a lot of people her age called Caroline. But the character in the Vampire Diaries changed my mum on it, she's young and peppy and although really annoying in the first few series, really grows into a strong, independent character that does the name a lot of favours.

I pronounce Caroline as CAH-roe-lIEn (long "I" sound) and Carolyn as CAH-roe-lIn (short "I" sound). And I like "Callie" as a nickname but not "Carrie".
