I have to say that I dislike it.
It seems a nickname (yes it is I know).
After that it remibds me too much Rom (the Italian name for Roma people).
I prefer the French pronounciation (with the French r that I have naturally and that I love at present).
But as ro-MEE it is too close to Rémy a name that I really like!
So...Romy is not my cup of tea (I love this English saying that I learned here on BTN)!
