Do backslashes indicate multiple similarly named children? Or do some kids nametags have 3 names on them?

Similar names I put in the rows with backslashes.
Like, there was Daniel / Danuț / Dani, but I have a feeling all of them are really named Daniel and two just go by pet forms.
