Edgar met Katerina while studying abroad in Spain one semester. Edgar, overestimating his Spanish-speaking abilities, approached Katerina in the beautiful park known as Buen Retiro Parque in Madrid. He then attempted to flirt with her while she tried to keep a straight face at his butchered Spanish. Edgar thought he blew it, but then Katerina invited him out to a casual restaurant and the rest is history. Edgar and Katerina moved to the upper east side of Manhattan together where they’ve remained for the last 41 years. They have 5 children together: Amabel, Opal, Quentin, Skyler, and Esmeralda. Katerina is very sentimental towards her children, and it makes her uneasy how fast they’ve seemed to grown! Esmeralda is only 11, and truly is treated like the baby of the family!
