That is such a non-name sort of place name, and I'm not seeing any obvious nice nicknames. I kind of expected another single syllable word moniker. Weird.

But where a person grows up is such a random thing it seems like a cop-out to name your kid after it. I mean, he could just as easily have grown up in Naperville or Des Plaines or even Normal. It's just so lazy.

But, he didn't. He grew up in a very popular city with its own flavor that its citizens take a lot of pride in. So, I don't agree that it's just plain lazy...inspired in a very basic way, sure, but not lazy .
