I think I'd probably go with Madison. It's not an easy choice. I'd rather be named Madison than Mackenzie, and that's really how I decided.
Mackenzie seems to me about ten years older than Madison - too dated to use now. Mackenzie is one of those tough-sounding surnamey doggie-names - like Murphy and Bailey. Madison sounds like a blend of Alison and Madeline, so it seems more like it could be a woman's first name, to me. I don't love it, and ten years ago I'd probably have picked Mackenzie because Madison was more annoying. But now, Mackenzie is more annoying.
