I like it; it has a solid ring to it. I have a friend named Timur who lives in Kazakhstan (where the name is fairly common). I tend to pronounce it the Russian way, "tyi-MOOR", though I wish I knew how to pronounce it in Kazakh and other Central Asian languages. The variants Temir and Temür are pleasing, too.
