Malachy and Malachi are indeed pronounced differently, as you have them. I knew it was a long shot, but Malachy has such an Irish connection in my head, I thought your dh might like it better than Malachi.Yes, in English, Blaise is pronounced like "blaze." Once a year growing up the nuns would walk us over to church to get out throats blessed. It had something to do with St. Blaise. It never made any sense to me, but I do like the name. Also, Blaise Pascal, the French mathematician, comes to mind.In English, Ives and Ivo are pronounced with long the "i" sound. Think: as I was going to Saint Ives, I met a man with _____ wives.Alois is the German form of Alyosius. I assume it is pronounced, "ah-lo-EES," but that's a guess. By the way, Kieran /Ciaran is pronounced "KEER-ahn" not "KEER-in." Your responce to Kieran Andrew leads me to point this out. I wasn't sure if you knew.

About the prn of Kieran, I say -ahn, but DH says -in ;c) Also, I just found out that my cousin's fiance's full name is Andrew Christopher, I thought it was just Chris, so I don't want to use Andrew. Thanks!* pronounced EH-vah =)
