is first and middle name. I never saw it that way until you pointed it out! Probably because they have different sounds even though they have the same letters.

Kobe is also a city in Japan.
I never realized it was a
Dutch
diminutive of
Jacob
. Whenever I have seen it as a name, I think of the city in Japan.
