I agree. If "boys'" names are workable on girls, why can't "girls'" names be used on boys? It seems kind of patriarchal to me.
It is, but I take that as more of a reason to avoid using boys' names on girls than a reason to use them.
Exactly. You're only feeding into the sexist double standard by giving girls boys' names when it's still taboo to do the opposite.
