The Heaths always love adding to their family, but they're glad to have let the kids they have get a little older before they brought in Adeline. The other five kids are all in school, so El is able to give Adeline a lot of individual attention as she settles in. She does sometimes want to keep being the center of attention once the others come home, and can get annoyed when she's not. But overall they are all excited for their new sister. Amity can be surprisingly patient with her after lots of experience with younger siblings.
Adeline is the first member added to the family who speaks only English, and while she's able to communicate with everyone without problems she's sometimes overwhelmed by the number of strange words she's hearing. Rylan and Eluned encourage the kids to speak enough English with her not to leave her out, but kids being kids they'll sometimes use a language not everyone has in common to keep secrets, or act like they are.
(If I'm thinking of having another natural child as well, would you add it or would I?)
