[Facts] Re: Meaning of Zulema (feminine) or Zuleman (masculine)
in reply to a message by Texas Ping
You are right, Zuleman is likely an Arabic spelling of Solomon, which means "peace" in Hebrew. The more common Arabic form is Suleyman or Suleiman (with accents somewhere, but I can't remember where). This was the name of an Ottoman sultan who expanded his empire all the way up into Hungary in the 16th century.
As far as Zulema goes I am not sure. But it could very well be a feminine form, perhaps a modern one.

According to a Turkish friend I asked, Suleyman is accented in the last syllable.
