DH suggested this and while it was never a favorite we both have positive associations with the name and as I never even liked DS2's first name til after he was born, I have become more flexible.

Thoughts on it?
Is it ready for a comeback?
Combos?

If we were to have a 3rd the first middle name would be George. I'm not loving the flow of Russell George LN and I'm trying to think of a second middle name.

Also I kind of dig Rustle as a GP.

ETA: I would probably use Russ as a nn most of the time. Maybe Rusty on occasion.

Russell is a lovely, timeless name IMO. Russ or Rusty are pleasant nicknames.

I don't feel any particular connection to Russell, so wouldn't use it myself, but I like it for other people.

The vibe I get from it is laidback and self-assured, plus I think Russ is a cute potential NN that ages well.

I'm really fond of Russell George together. George is another name that's not quite my style but that I like to see. :)

Even though it's on the usable like Russell George Aran isn't one I would have thought of.

I quite like Russell now that I think about it. I think it could be ready for a comeback. I've honestly never really mulled it over but it's quite handsome and Russ and Rusty are approachable and fun nicknames.

I don't mind Russell George with your last name but I think a second mn would be better, especially considering your boys have two as well.

From a practical perspective Russell George Anthony and Russell George Patrick would probably go over with DH.

I think it could make a comeback! Especially since it's also used as a surname. I actually like Russell George, it's very classic... How about
