Len Sommerhoff - Xander Sommerhoff.
-Xander and Celia Sommerhoff - Tessa & Colby Sommerhoff.
Len and Evie Sommerhoff - Orson, Kate & Pippa, Eli, Nik, Finn, and Rebekah Sommerhoff.
Although Rebekah is used to being part of a larger family, she is used to being looked over due to her quiet nature and that simply doesn't seem to happen in the Sommerhoff household. There is always someone around, and her new sisters in particular seem to love to watch her draw, and are always asking questions about who her characters are. She seems to have retreated even further into her shell at this, and Len and Evie had to have a talk with their other children about respecting her personal space. They also have Rebekah see a therapist once a week, which both of them make a point to attend with her, to let her know that they aren't going anywhere and are willing to work with her.
Her nightmares are sticking around for the time being, but the Sommerhoffs are hoping that they will diminish with time, and the aforementioned therapy.
Xander and Celia have newborn set of twins - Tessa and Colby, and the young family is often around the main Sommerhoff household both for help, and to help out with the older children. Celia is going to take the year off work to look after the twins, and after that they will hopefully go into daycare.
Orson has been looking into colleges recently - specifically those with aeronautical programs as he is interested in working on airplanes. He is hoping to get into a college that has a baseball program as well, but if that doesn't work out then there's always amateur teams.
Kate has been helping Orson with his essays, which she treats as good prep for when she applies to colleges in a few years. She isn't sure what she's interested in specializing in yet, and has been taking AP classes in school for English, History, and several math courses, but figures she has still has a bit of time to decide.
She still draws, although not as often as Pippa, and is also a Big Sister in her free time.
Pippa is growing into a vivacious young woman. Her exuberant, and friendly nature means she gets along with most everyone, and she always tries her best to make sure people feel included. That said, she is floundering in her science and math courses in particular, so Kate does her best to help her, but this has been causing issues with the sisters. Len and Evie are considering getting her a tutor so that the fighting will stop.
She plays both for her schools soccer team, and in the local league, and also volunteers with Big Brother/Big Sister.
Eli has felt somewhat lost recently, with Orson going off to college soon, and the twins fighting near-constantly he is unsure of his place. Like he did when he was younger, he has thrown himself into school, and religion hoping for some semblance of control. Len and Evie sat down with him to let him know that they were there if he wanted to talk to either of them, but for now he doesn't seem to be interested - though it was a comfort to know that they didn't forget about him with everything going on.
Due to their similar quiet natures Eli is the one person Rebekah seems to have attached herself to, asking him to take her to the synagogue when he goes and happily sitting there with him, quiet as a church mouse. The twins are jealous of this - since they were so excited to finally have a sister - but are trying to be respectful after their take with their parents.
Nik has flourished in acting classes, it gave him a much-needed outlet for both his creative impulses and his lying. He still sometimes needs time to himself, but has opened up a lot more with his family, and has stopped kicking Finn out of his room, most of the time anyway.
He is doing decently in school, and Len and Evie told him that if he keeps it up they will let him get an agent and try out for commercials and such like he asked.
Finn is extremely jealous of his new sister, especially since she is so comfortable around Eli, and then Xander and Celia's children only exacerbated the issue. As such, he has been acting out, and very sullen in equal measures. Len and Finn having been spending a lot of time together as a result, working together in the garden, and Finn sometimes coming in to work with Len when he only has paperwork to do. It has helped a little, and they are confident that he will settle down with time, and love, and by letting him know that they still have time for him even with the new additions.
AN - going back and reading through both your adoption bits, and then my stories, i realized that i misread Orson's bio originally. you had said that he liked basketball, and i thought it said baseball and now i've been running with it for so long i've just decided to stick with it. sorry about that!
