[Opinions] Jolyon
Wdyto the name Jolyon for a boy? Pronounced "JOE-lee-un". I was watching old tapes of the Forsyte Saga and remembered how much I once liked it.
Some combos, plus do you have any other suggestions?
Corbin Jolyon
Harris Jolyon
Jolyon Esmund
Jolyon Fergus
Jolyon Reuben
Jolyon Thomas
Ronan Jolyon

I LOVED the Forsyte Saga. I keep meaning to read the book because I liked the miniseries so much (I'm a big fan of a lot of Masterpiece Theater movies, lol). I love Jolyon solely because of the character (and Rupert Graves was lovely :b). It's a nice alternative to Julian, I think, and Joe can be a nn. Or even Leon. :) Of the combos, I like Harris Jolyon, Jolyon Reuben and Ronan Jolyon the best. I also like Jolyon Rhys and Rory Jolyon.

I'm not sure, as it's so heavily connected to the Forsyte Saga, if it could work. And I've only seen the new version of it. It's nice though. I like Jools as a nickname.
It's a hard name to combine with anything;
Raymond Jolyon
Jolyon Desmond
Jolyon Theodore
Jolyon Sidney?
And then I like Fleur, June and Prosper too.
I've been waiting literally years for the original Forsyte Saga series to become available. Wasn't it a great production?
I like Jolyon, although probably more as a mn. Of yours listed I like:
Jolyon Esmund (love Esmund)
Jolyon Fergus
Jolyon Thomas
Just promise me you wouldn't use the nn Jolly. :-)
Other great names from the book/series: Swithin, Hester, Publius Valerius, Imogen, Winifred, Irene, and of course Fleur.

I liked the pronunciation Irene, eye-REE-nee, in the miniseries. I think it actually may be available on vhs/dvd. Have you tried pbs.com?
ETA: Yes, there are available, but not cheap. :b It's www.pbs.org, btw. lol

Yes, thank you. I was able to rent the VHS version from my local library. I bought the DVD for my Mom on mother's day.
My mom, sister and I buy DVD's and share them. It's our own lending library.
