I’m not into either name, but I will go with Harlan. Arlo just makes me think of the dinosaur from The Good Dinosaur.

Love Harlan!

My kids have a little friend name Harlan and I adore his name. His brothers are Graham and Cyrus. Such a cute set of bothers!

To me, it seems like they have a very trendy, almost hipsterish vibe to them. They're both surnames and surnames as first names are in vogue right now. I dislike them (because I tend to be more of a traditionalist), but there are much worse names out there.

I like both, but Harlan has more history and is much less trendy. I don't know if it's a stretch, but maybe you could do Harlan "Arlo"?

I really like them both. They have a kind of hip Southern vibe to me, like they could be the frontmen of a country-soul band or something.
