I think it’s adorable and I’d use it in a heartbeat as a nickname for Marcella. I don’t have an explanation though really!

Interesting! I've always thought it was kind of a sister to a name like Carol. Like Marcy would be Carol Brady's sister. But maybe that aesthetic is coming back in or maybe I'm totally off!
