I'm not a fan. It does make me think of a star, which is good, but I find it harsh, and hey, it starts with "ass". I would like the nickname Star. I'm not getting Daisy.

Yeah the ass aspect was why I used to dislike this name but now I think I feel somewhere between ambivalent and liking it. Astrid is so different sounding than most names that I am used to hearing in my life. Sure I've met one and seen a few in TV shows but it still doesn't feel very familiar.
