Fall Out Boy bassist Pete Wentz and partner model Megan Camper welcomed a daughter today named Marvel Jane.

She joins older brothers Bronx Mowgli and Saint Lazslo.

I wonder if they are pronouncing it the historic way, which is Mar-velle (rhyme with Isabel), or like the comic books.

Is that how they spell Lazslo? Isn't that wrong? It annoys me. A lot.
I kind of like Saint in theory. Bronx Mowgli is just a mess of random letters forming unpleasant sounds.
Marvel Jane is cute. Not terrible at all.

Megan Camper has better taste than Ashlee Simpson. I could see Marvel getting picked up by the general public; Marcel- names are on the rise and people love V's (and superheros).

Growing up I knew a woman named Marvelline (I think that's how it was spelled). I could see Marvel and similar names catching on.

Marvel was used since the 19th century but pronounced Mar-velle (to rhyme with Isabel), and they also used Marveline combining Marvel with Marceline.

Saint is not only pretentious, you have to be dead before you can be a saint.

Actually...fact check...in many religions you can be a saint while alive. In the Christian religion (though not in Catholicism for some reason) most denominations consider everyone who follows Christ a "saint." Here is a little run down if you care to look: https://wels.net/saints/

Its been in the SSA since the 19th century, and has nothing to do with Marvel comics but in this day and age I'm not surprised if that's what people think of or even if that's why they chose the name.

Marvella Jane would be much better, or Mariel Jane.
Bronx, Mowgli and Saint are just stupid. And Lazslo is misspelled, it should be Laszlo.

Certainly my favourite name in the sibset, it sounds really sweet. I probably like it because of it sounding more like 'Mabel Jane'. Whatever, they have done alright.

I actually kind of like it. As celeb names go, it’s not bad. Marvel is pretty cool and it goes well with Bronx and Saint. And Marvel Jane is a nice combo.

I kind of like it, compared to Mowgli at least. Though I do hear Mary Jane from that for some reason, which either makes me think of a drug or a spider man character. Lazslo is also very cool.
