[Opinions] Wdyto this twin set?
Iris and Siri? It popped into my head because someone asked for name suggestions for her upcoming twins, and she has already decided that if at least one of them was a girl, she wanted her to be named Iris. She doesnt know the genders yet, so she wanted both boys and girls names. Where I come from we pronounce it «ee-ris». So it would come very close to the pronounciation to Siri; «see-ri». And the two names spell each other backwards. Some think such twin names are cute. Some think its too much, and like more different names for twins.
What do you think?

I like Iris and would really like Siri if not for the association with Apple’s iPhone assistant.

It’s way too similar to use in real life. I think it should be used for characters.

I like it.
I know a few Siri's (pronounced the same way you do) and they're all lovely People. Iris is adorable too.
I don't think it's too matchy when I say it out loud, but when I read it I do notice the similarity. I personally don't mind. Some suggestions:
Iris & Asta / Astra
Iris & Cleo
Iris & Sara
Iris & Selma
Iris & Signe
Iris & Siren [see-REN]Iris & Cleon
Iris & Erik
Iris og Isak (maybe a bit matchy)
Iris & Nero

I think it'd be cute for 2 girls, not too much

I think they're human beings and not a matching tea set. IMO twin names should definitely have some common elements. Both or neither having a nickname, similar length, similar popularity, similar level of fanciness. But making them that matchy just drives home that each girl will be thought of as "one of a set" and not her own person. And people already find it difficult enough remembering which sibling is which if they don't see them often, especially twins. Besides, Siri is so heavily associated with the iPhone PA that it would be weird to see it on a person. What aboutIris and Cecile
Iris and Jane
Iris and Lydia
Iris and Mabel
Iris and Maud
Iris and Sylvia
Iris and Una

there is a Siri clone ...Some other company tried to market a similar digital assistant to Siri, and called it Iris. So it's maybe not as original as one might think.
I think it's pretty lame to have twin names that are such obvious rearrangements of each other.

Is the clone you're talking about Cortana? That's the one on my computer.

I think they're too matchy. I'd want them to have their own individual names, with individual sounds.
