Yes, and the similarity in sound to "clod" would make it harder for me to overlook.
But if it were actually my name, I'd probably be attached to it enough that I wouldn't be wishing for a different one.
I'd also be thinking of it as connected to my MN, so hopefully that would be something interesting that would balance it out...like, my names mean "victory Christmas" together, which is weirdly religious imo, so I don't think of it literally...I think of it more like: what does Christmas represent to me? Generosity, family/community, light/warmth in darkness, etc...and I much prefer that meaning to a literal one. And my sister's name means "maiden/virgin" but adding her MN, it'd be "maiden warrior", which is cooler. So I could probably come up with an interpretation I'd be happy with as a Claudia if I tried.
