[Opinions] Faina
I came across this name in Eowyn Ivey's novel "The Snow Child". I like it in theory but I can't get past the fact it means "weasel" in Italian."We have to live without sympathy, don't we? That's impossible of course. We act it to one another, all this hardness; but we aren't like that really, I mean...one can't be out in the cold all the time; one has to come in from the cold...d'you see what I mean?”

just looked it up on the database, and i really like the (original??) form Phaenna a lot, who gets around the weasel problem maybe, though it still sounds similar. Faina itself is really cute, but i like how it looks better than how it sounds. it reminds me of Fiona (obviously lol), Phaedra, and Fenella (which i love). i think it'd work fine in English speaking countries, though there'd be some hesitancy over the pronunciation as usual.
