Help[Opinions] Disappointing twin BA
One of the families at the child care centre I work at welcomed twins last week. I was curious as to what the names would be as the older sister is Tiffany (4). I was hoping for two other dated, off-beat names that you don't hear much on children anymore. What I got was:
Jackson and Maddison (g). Unsure of the spellings.
They're not bad names in themselves but I just don't think the world can fit many more Jacksons and Maddisons in it at the moment. For example, the Preschool room that Tiffany is in has a Jaxon, a Jaxson, 3 Maddisons and a Madison. Plus the fact that they both end in -son is grating on my ears.

Tiffany is surprising to see on a four-year-old, I actually like it. What's funny about Tiffany is that it's actually a medieval name, but seems so modern due to popularity in the 80s.
Madison is a no for me, will always be a no. It took me a long time to like Madeleine (didn't like the "mad" first syllable), but I don't like the -son ending at all. Jackson is cool, though - as long as it's spelled Jackson!

Once I learned that Tiffany was traditional for girls born on January 6th (found out here on BtN!)I changed my mind about it and liked it, and might have used it, had I birthed a girl on Jan.6th.
Jackson and Maddison, no. OK in themselves, if you take the extra d out of Maddison, but way too overused.

Same here. I’m a big fan of Tiffany as a name. I know it’s dated and was popular but it still doesn’t matter, I just like it.

I only like the boy's name even regardless of how trendy or common it is. And its always nice to to see it in its original form (hopefully) not those alternative spellings which are all equally obnoxious.
I also don't care for the fact that the twins names end the same way. Their names could have been completely individualized but then the shared suffix slightly ruins that. If it was just by one letter like my sister and I, it wouldn't be bad.

Yuck on all three names. Oh well, I’m sure the kids are darling and will make their names shine.
