It's been a quite uneventful five years in the kingdom of Montague, aside from recently, when the eldest princess, Annabelle, became betrothed to Viscount Barnaby of Middleton. They will wait a few more years before the wedding after Annabelle turns 18, and Prince Samson may yet be the first of the royal children to marry. Charles is a bit upset that Annabelle is acting like a proper lady, as he has lost his partner in mischief-making. He attempts to recruit Nellie, to no avail, and doesn't even think to ask Victoria and Alexa, because he knows they'd end up being better at mischief-making than he is.
