I like nick-names with spellings that differ from a formal source.Michael & MikeThomas & TomJacob & Jake Stephen, Stefanie / Steve / Stevie Stephanie Ann / Stephan / Stefan Lee Leigh / Leah / Aliyah I cannot fathom that a Catherine (with a "C") cannot be Kate or Katie or any other variation.I find interest in the evolution of names that have extensive international histories amidst differing alphabets, yet combine into our common knowledge - that each raindrop or snowflake falls into these tributaries, which flow into the river; the river which flows into the Sea; and the sea into the ocean: yet new raindrops & snowflakes fall directly into larger bodies as well.
