I really don’t think so. It seems way too nicknamey to be a full name. Adele or Adela nn Della would be much better, imho.*previously posted as summitseeker*

Yeah, Adela's too frilly for me, and Adele makes me think of the singer. Not a big fan of Adelaide either. Can you think of any more? I'm surprised, I couldn't tell it was a nickname till I looked it up. Does it help that I'm looking at Della as a variant of Adela, so it still means "noble", like how Lucy is a variant of Lucia? That way, it has some substance. What do you think?
