[Opinions] Italian sibset
I recently talked to a woman with 4 kids with interesting names:DD: Diana
DS: Carmine
DS: Alessandro
DD: Sofia If you’re wondering why Carmine is so different in style from the others, it’s because the parents “had” to name their first son after his grandfather;-)"We have to live without sympathy, don't we? That's impossible of course. We act it to one another, all this hardness; but we aren't like that really, I mean...one can't be out in the cold all the time; one has to come in from the cold...d'you see what I mean?”

Alessandro and Sofia are two of my favourite names. I think Alessandro sounds so much better than Alexander I also think the Sofia spelling is much better than the English spelling of Sophia.
I think Diana is nice but it’s not my style.
As for Carmine I’ve heard it’s a tradition in some Italian families to name the first born boy after the father’s father so that’s most likely a tradition in their family which is why the felt like they “had” to. I’m not a fan of the name, I think it sounds too feminine.

The mom basically said she felt pressured to, it obviously doesn’t match her naming style.
