[Opinions] Adeola
What do you think of the name Adeola for a female?I heard it first on Orange is the New Black and I actually like the look and sound and the meaning is pretty good, too.

It sounds Nigerian, specifically Yoruba - I've noticed it sounds similar to a number of Yoruba names. (Looking in the submitted database has confirmed that it is Yoruba).

I remember Martha on Doctor Who talking about how her cousin Adeola worked at Canary Wharf and died in the "battle" that ended David Tenant's first season. I remember thinking, "Cousins named Adeola and Martha - wow, what a difference!" (Even better, Freema Agyeman played both of them.)

I don't like the look of it. It sounds awkward to me too. Like Idea-Ola or something.

Way too close to areola. Good in a country that doesn’t speak a Latin-based language.

One letter away from areola.

I think that when some cultures roll their Rs, they sound like Ds.

What does that have to do with this name? It’s not Areola pronounced Adeola.

I just mean that some people are going to sound like they’re saying Areola, and that it could be seen as problematically close.
