I have grown to love it. I used to think of it as a guilty pleasure, but since Sabrina the Teenage Witch is no longer on tv, I think it has become usable again. Anymore, I think people are just as likely to think of the Audrey Hepburn movie.

I like the fact that Sabrina is not super common but still familiar. The myth of Sabrina in connection with the Welsh river is a bit mixed but gives the name history and interest. The nick names Brie and Ria.

I don't have a strong opinion on it, though it sounds a bit dated to me (it's partly the Bree sound), and I went to school with one who didn't leave a great impression.

The main ones I dislike of the group are Brianna, Tiffany, and Samantha.

I actually really like it. There's something mystical about it and it has a long history. I also like the slightly witchy associations that it has. I think of good, sweet witches and it is therefore magical, in a really nice way. It has the same feel as Tabitha and Samantha, even though Samantha has lost it a bit due to extreme overuse.

The only problem I have with it is that it was really common here in the 80s and 90s and that it unfortunately has a bit of a tacky/trashy image where I live. It also feels a bit dated in general, not because it was ever really common in the US/UK but because it feels like it fits in more with the style of popular 80s names. Back then names weren't short and simple like they are now but long and frilly. It fits right in with Melissa, Amanda, Samantha, Marissa etc. and I think that's why it is constantly falling and losing popularity.

I like it and think it's a name with a whole lot of good things going for it: a really long history, some fun medieval pseudo-mythology, a great Welsh river - and Audrey Hepburn. I also think it would age well, and can easily imagine marvellously eccentric old ladies with it.

I like it very much, both sound and meaning. I find a lot of 'ina' names a little there but Sabrina has a strong enough beginning to carry it off

Sabrina is gorgeous. It's familiar but not overly common. It's one of my top names.

I think it's likely to be used as a stage name, probably by a pole dancer. And I think that's a pity, because it's a river name and actually very beautiful as well as being more interesting than Sabina.

I’m not a fan. It seems hyperfemme and frilly and sparkly, which isn’t my taste in girls names at all. It makes me think of Sabrina the Teenage Witch, which isn’t necessarily bad but it does come to mind.

I love it! Although, when STTW first came out, I thought it (and her last name, Spellman) was just made-up. lol (I was ten, gimme a break! lol)

But yeah, it's not on my list (yet), but I still love it enough to use for a character.
