Help[Games] Triplet Sisters' Story Congrats Round 1
I enjoyed one of these a while ago, so I thought I'd give it a try. I'll try to update every two-three days. Writing a story along this congrats game is greatly encouraged, but it's completely fine if you just decide not to and just name the families.
Round 1 – Meet the sisters
Meet the triplet sisters. Ever heard the old cliché of multiples being connected and all alike? Well it certainly is not true for these sisters. Despite spending months together in utero, being born in a span of three minutes and being ones best friends from the get go they couldn’t be more different.
The oldest triplet is newly single and works as a kindergarten teacher. As soon as her personality could show, she has been the nurturing type and it came as no surprise when she said to her teacher in first grade that she wanted to be a mommy when she grows up. She actually came very close to being one. Just weeks ago everyone believed that she and her boyfriend of four years will get engaged and marry soon, but instead the two of them broke up and went their separate ways. She is now trying to come to terms with the separation and move on while still living in the two bedroom apartment that her boyfriend vacated weeks ago.
The middle triplet has always been single and works as a journalist. Ever since she could move around on her wobbly little feet, she has been the most adventurous and outgoing one. She has many friends and busy social life, when she is not traveling all around the globe reporting on the world’s happenings. There is no time for a boyfriend or family in her busy schedule, plus she would never set for anything less then a perfect guy that would sweep her of her feet and cherish her for the rest of their life.
The youngest one is a free spirit in all kind of ways. It might seem that she has no purpose or direction in her life. At age 27 she still lives in her children room in her parents house, she has no steady job and when the money is tight she creates a painting or two and sells them. She has a great talent for painting but was never invested into it enough to make it her career. She prefers to spend her time in yoga classes, hanging out with friends at local hip establishments or backpacking the world. When it comes to her personal life, there have been many hook ups, but rarely a serious relationships that lasted more then few months.

Alex and Evan were perfect. Alex’s friends gushed to her about how lucky she was, how perfect Evan was, and she felt it too for a while. Evan was charming, handsome, protective, exciting. Aged 23, she couldn’t resist, even though he was so different to her. It was amazing, for a while. And then he changed. His protectiveness became jealousy, his charm became manipulation. He had to know where she was, who she was with, what she was doing at all times. Eventually, she told her closest friends what was happening. It took two years before, with their support, she finally worked up the courage to leave. Everyone else was shocked that the perfect couple could end like that, but Alex felt nothing but relief.
Ginnie has always been dynamic, intelligent, and bold. Her career, travelling the world to report on major political events and investigating massive stories which could have a global impact, has always come first to her. She’s fluent in three languages, has lived all over the world, and wouldn’t change it for anything - especially not some man. Ginnie hasn’t dated since she was 16, when a cute boy in her French class asked her out. They were together for a few months, but it came to a messy end when he told her she was too high maintenance. She was upset, sure, but it made her determined not to lower her standards and settle for someone less than what she wanted and needed.
Juliet was a cheerful, talkative child. She painted, danced, sung, and loved life. Sure, she wasn’t considered as bright as Ginnie or as kind as Alex, but she was happy nonetheless. She left school with mediocre exam results - Bs and Cs compared to Ginnie’s As - and enrolled in a university course she wasn’t that passionate about, watching her sisters succeed in fields they loved. She continued to paint, but dropped out of university after three years, moving back home in the meantime. She began to feel like a failure compared to her sisters, and her mental health has taken a turn for the worse. Eventually, her parents figured out how she was feeling, and she’s now getting help for her depression, but she still feels a sense of emptiness and pointlessness in life.

HANNAH
If everything was going so well with her boyfriend, why did they break up?
Hannah thought she knew Julian. She didn't. He was always so sweet and protective, she thought. Confident, too. He knew what he wanted. He was realistic. He kept her grounded when her head was in the clouds (which was pretty often).
Hannah had taken Julian’s actions and warped them in her head to something more positive. He wasn’t protective. He was manipulative and aggressive. Always yelling at her friend Meg for teasing her or pranking her. (Meg could be a little inconsiderate, but she was sweet.) Taking away her everyday choices because he wanted control. He was arrogant, not confident. He was always bragging about something. And he took away her dreams. No, we can’t hike the Appalachian trail. You could never do it. You’re not as fit as I am. No, I don’t think you’ll ever get through to those kindergarteners. You think you’re making they’re life so much better? Get real.
And then one day they fought. It was over something small. But it wasn’t really about that. It was about him being manipulative and arrogant and all that. Hannah didn’t see it at the time, but she saw it a few days after.
She was better off without him. It hurt, but it got better soon.
JADE
Jade had so much ambition when she was little. She was going to be a famous painter! Or a mathematician! Or the president! She went off to college with high hopes and an academic scholarship. She took an internship with a state senator. She painted. It was fabulous.
And then she realized the futility of life. Nothing she could ever do would really matter. She was a tiny speck in the universe. A point on a graph. Or an infinite plane. She gave up her dreams. What, exactly, was the point of doing anything?
She did still do some things. She had a few friends. She did yoga and painted occasionally. It was fun in the moment and that’s the only reason you really ever should do anything.
There’s no point, really.
NORA
Nora doesn’t have so much of a backstory. She loves to see the world. It’s a really awesome world we live on, no matter what Jade thinks! She’s busy.
Nora does want the perfect partner. But there’s no real reason other than if you get married and spend the rest of your life with someone, shouldn’t they be the love of your life? She doesn’t have time for a relationship she’s not sure about.

Ada was never known for unpredictable decisions or spontaneous actions so it came as no surprise that despite the clear attraction it took another weeks before the two of them went on their first date. Which was obviously a success, they both graduated with their bachelors and Ada found a job at a community school teaching kindergarten, another one of her dreams, while Ryan continued to work on his masters in management. They pulled off a long distance relationship for two years until Ryan returned back home to their small provincial town. The two off them moved in together and the love story would have continued if it wasn't for the fact that Ryan was deeply unhappy there and Ada had no intentions to ever move anywhere else. Working a job that was way below his abilities, locked in a small town with limited opportunities and although still madly in love with Ada it was only a matter of time until this fact would affect their relationship. So it happened on one Saturday evening, a big fight that left Ada in tears and Ryan storming out in furry. He moved out the next day and left the town just weeks later, leaving Ada alone and perplexed her dreams crushed.
From the moment she could crawl Trix has always been on the go. Energetic social butterfly, she was the it girl during high school, and as one of few was accepted to three of Ivy League universities finally choosing Columbia and her dream major journalism.

The breakup happened out of the blue. Lydia didn't expect it. Her now ex-boyfriend, Joel, didn't expect it. And no one in their immediate circles expected it. From all outside views, the Lydia/Joel relationship hit all the marks one would aspire to. They went on cutesy dates and took cutesy pictures and, according to the rumors started by her old roommate, made passionate yet romantic love on a regular basis. Lydia herself expected to become Mrs. Joel Simonsen by the end of the year.
However, the night Joel he intended to propose, events unfolded in a way no one could have predicted. Out to dinner as any thriving couple would, Joel kept a beautifully simple ring in his pocket, a design he knew Lydia would love. Their conversation steered towards the future. Lydia spoke of her desires for a family, for lots of children, a tale not unfamiliar to Joel. His surprise came when she dropped a bigger bomb: she wanted to stay in her tiny hometown, teach her kindergarten class, raise her family, and never leave.
"Not even if you got a better job offer?" Joel asked, jaw dropped.
Lydia shrugged, a happy glow in her eyes as she answered, "Of course not, babe. This town is as much my family as my sisters. I want to make sure that the next generations here are happy, healthy, and educated. I could never abandon them."
"You know I was offered a job out of state, right?" Joel scoffed.
"Why should that matter?"
Joel stared at her, wondering how she could be so thick. "Because I plan to take it and I want to have my family with me, not whole states away."
"Then don't take it."
Joel scoffed, "Babe, that would be like you taking a job elsewhere."
"Then take it."
Silence fell over their table as both began to process what their conversation meant. Lydia looked up from her food, finally making eye contact with Joel. "I guess this means--"

DD1: [27] Clara Beatrix Blackwood
As Clara saw the direction her relationship was going, she started feeling intimidated, and wasn't sure why - it was everything she wanted, wasn't it? After examining things, she came to the conclusion that she'd been staying in the relationship this long mostly out of momentum. She had never had a 'reason' to break up, and she wanted to pursue her dreams of settling down, but she just didn't feel sure that he was the one she really wanted to spend her life with. At first she suggested taking a break, but things just spiraled from there.
DD2: [27] Irene Johanna Blackwood
Irene has always been someone who knows what she wants for herself, and she knows that she isn't content unless she is chasing that to the best of her ability. A relationship simply for itself is not something she wants. The idea holds no interest for her unless it is with a person that she knows is the best one for her. If she can find him, she'll certainly grab onto that, but if she can't, she knows she is far more content with the single life than an unsatisfying relationship.
DD3: [27] Nadia Katherine Blackwood
Growing up as one of a 'set,' Nadia has been desperate to be her own person, to find out what she loves and who she is. She is constantly searching for her passion, for the things that can define her, and if she starts losing interest in something she worries it isn't the 'real her.' She dislikes being compared against her sisters, and takes pride in the fact that her life has been different, even if she hasn't found purpose in it yet.
