The year is 3046 and Aeton Hygrace & Vitari Lansbright are about to get married. The catch is they have no choice: in 3025 when Aeton was born and Vita was about to be born, their two noble families agreed their two oldest children would get married. The two children had no knowledge of this until they turned 18. Happily, the pair, who grew up in proximity because of their family’s connections, had formed a friendship over time and, for the past few years, had each been eyeing each other romantically without the other knowing. When their betrothal was announced, they stole off together to talk about the shocking news, and confessed their feelings. Their parents, expecting an outcry over them having to wed their like-a-sister/brother-but-never-a-wife/husband friend, instead got two overjoyed youngsters ready to be married at the earliest occasion!

DH: (32) Allox Solar Dryce
Enzai & Allox have been married for ten years now. Allox really wants to have a child or adopt one. Zai isn't too fond of children, he grew up in an orphanage and the other children bullied him mercilessly, which made him dislike kids and never want any so they wouldn’t be subjected to what he was. Allox is frustrated because Zai knew he liked children and wanted them when they got together, and was hoping he would come around, which hasn’t happened in ten years. So Allox has a negative thought in the back of his mind of leaving Enzai to start his own family. He is trying to push away these thoughts, though, because he really loves his husband and thinks he’d be a great father if he would only give kids a chance.

Zarrow & Aluna have been married for a couple of months but something troubling has come up. Aluna has found out that Zarrow had a family, with two children! Aluna confronts Zarrow and is told something she can't believe: Zarrow and her partner, Yetereon Solguard, were once held captive in a genetics lab complex by an evil military biotech company trying to create a super-soldier. Zarrow has latent powers of telekinesis and she and Yetereon, who has enhanced reflexes and natural deflection abilities, were made to pair up to breed potential soldiers or future breeders depending on the outcome. Zarrow and Yetereon hatched a plan and escaped with their two babies. Zephyr, who was 2 when they escaped, possessed deflection and telekineses (he can only move himself), and Kethra, who was only a few months old, inherited her father’s reflexes and also somehow is impervious to the elements. They gave Zephyr his father's surname and Kethra her mother's, according to Solguard's culture's practice. The former “lab partners” stayed together as partners and parents (though they are not romantically involved), both having an interest in the children and the mutual survival of their little clan. Aluna, flustered, asks Zarrow why she never told her!?! Zarrow breaks down and explains that their family unit had been hiding out for so long – Yeteron has been taking primary care of the children since Zarrow fell for Aluna so that she could explore the relationship – that she was scared to reveal their existence for fear that somehow the Lab would discover them and take the children or exterminate them all. Aluna is still having trouble dealing with the fact that Zarrow kept something so crucial to who she is and their future together from her, but understands that it was for a truly important reason so is trying to get past it. Zarrow is planning to have Aluna meet Solguard and the children soon.
