Jan and Elsje young couple from the Netherlands who has immigrated to the United States. Afer arriving at Ellis Island, they've made their way to Michigan, where Elsje's brother lives. They'd already made their travel arrangements when Elsje discovered she was pregnant, and have just started settling into America when they welcomed their daughter into their family.
Her FN and MN both Dutch.

Riley kept her last name, since she wants to keep the same name attached to her art, but the baby's surname is Gonzalez.
