Joy has survived infancy, much to her parents' delight.
They aren't so delighted that she's a total rebel. The only person she will always listen to is Anna, and the only other people she will sometimes obey are Katherine and Raphael. Raphael has suggested spanking her, but Katherine is firmly against hitting Joy. She hides peoples' things, she draws on the walls of the house, and recently, she brought home a stray cat, named it Kitty, and threw a tantrum when Becky and Rachel (both being allergic to cats) gave it away to Anna. Joy visits Anna constantly to play with Kitty. She gets cat fur on her clothes, so Becky and Rachel are still constantly sneezing.
Henry and Gris are very happy living on their little farm on the moor, mostly because they have new neighbors.
Betrys and Gerallt are a young Welsh couple with a daughter named Alis. Alis is adorable, and Gris is very happy to have adult female company. They moved to the moor from a crowded town, because Betrys needed some space (she's claustrophobic) and the moor is very wide open and difficult to be claustrophobic in. Gris and Henry trust Gerallt and Betrys, and have gone back to being Henry Cavendish and Gris Cavendish around them. There aren't very many people, and Gris's reputation is limited to London and the surrounding area, and they're pretty far away.
